On Sunday, November 26, 2023, our Chief Executive Partner, KalikumutimaDeo, was a panelist at the New Vision Home and Construction Expo 2023. The event took place at Kololo Independence Grounds and focused on the theme of Innovation, Standards, and Opportunities.

During the session on real estate finance and investment, Counsel Deo emphasised the importance of legal compliance in this sector. He specifically discussed the process of acquiring a Freehold certificate of title, how to identify potential land fraud, the documentation procedures for land acquisition, and the role of an advocate.

Counsel Deo emphasized the need for a specific law to regulate the real estate industry in Uganda. He stressed the significance of documenting every step of the process, urging individuals to address any issues they encounter and ensure their paperwork is properly stamped as “received.”

His talk was a valuable contribution to the event, shedding light on the significance of legal compliance in real estate finance and investment for the benefit of Ugandans.
