On June 24, 2024, Kalikumutima& Co.Advocates hosted the Environment Parliament for a preparatory and orientation meeting ahead of the 2024  parliament session. The 2024 Environment Parliament Of Uganda discourse revolves around three fundamental issues. The Energy Transition, Drought Resilience and Land Restoration.

It was an honour for Kalikumutima and Co. Advocates to host the Speaker’s Chambers orientation meeting. Besides being partners of the Environment Parliament 2024, Kalikumutima and Co. Environment Parliament is focused on mobilizing communities towards environmental issues to increase community involvement and provoke collective action. Environment Parliament was established to enhance the conversation around climate change & conservation by, amplifying citizen-driven action. Environment Parliament is a strategic stakeholder to enable citizen-driven climate action. Parliament brings together key stakeholders, including state and non-state actors to engage with citizen environmental democracy champions, to generate consensus on priority action needed now, ensuring citizen participation, actor transparency and justice for all as we combine efforts to protect and defend people and the planet.
